Solid Waste & Recycling

Hazardous waste collection services are done through the Acadia Disposal District. Hazardous waste is collected once annually, usually late September; scheduled date and time is posted in advance. Construction debris needs to be removed by the homeowner (or their contractor) and taken to either the Islesford or Great Cranberry transfer stations, or directly to Eastern Maine Recycling (EMR).

2023 Household Hazardous & Universal Waste Collection will be September 22, 2023.
